Who has your car

You should know which company is holding your keys. That much we can do.

Parkena names the operator and says what happens to your keys.

Know your operator

Named, by the name the car park trades under.

Every listing shows the operator’s trading name, the airport it serves, whether you keep your keys, the facilities the operator has confirmed and the cancellation terms in force. An operator can enter a registered company name in their own settings, and it is not published on the listing; signing up never asks for one. A lot reaches that page only after a person at Parkena has read what the operator submitted and approved it, and if the operator edits the lot afterwards the listing comes down until the new version is read. What Parkena has not done is inspect the site, check the company register or see an insurance certificate — so no listing carries a verification badge, because no verification took place.

The handover

What the listing tells you before you hand anything over.

Whether you keep the keys

Every lot declares self-park or attended. Self-park means you park it and walk away with your own keys; attended means somebody else moves the car once you have gone.

How you get to the terminal

The operator’s own arrival instructions come with your confirmation — the shuttle line, the first and last service, where they have published them. The listing covers the car park; the confirmation covers the journey to Departures.

What the operator says the site has

Cameras, fencing, automatic barriers, plate entry, indoor bays. Shown where the operator has confirmed them and left blank where they have not, rather than filled in with an assumption.

What is not recorded

No condition photograph, no odometer reading and no fuel level is captured at handover, by Parkena or by the console. Nothing is stored against your booking beyond the booking itself. Photograph the car yourself if its state matters to you.

If something goes wrong

There is no fund, and pretending there is would be the worst thing on this page.

Parkena is the merchant on every booking: it takes the payment, and it is the one that refunds you when a cancellation qualifies under the platform’s stated policy — not a claim the operator has to approve. What Parkena does not run is a claims process for the operator’s own service: if a car park damages your car or loses your keys, that is between you and the operator, under their own terms. What Parkena can give you for a service dispute is the record of what you were shown — the operator’s identity, the total you agreed, and the dates and the lot, all stored against your reference.

What we hold

Your booking as it was written — lot, operator, stay, the total you agreed and the cancellation terms in force when you agreed it.

What we do not hold

No photographs, no mileage, no fuel level, no insurance policy and no claims file. None of it exists anywhere in the product.

Who you talk to

The operator. Parkena can tell you what your booking says and put you in touch; it cannot settle a claim or cancel on their behalf.

What is written down, and what is not

About this address: /protection is left over from a product that was never built — a “Chain of Custody” record of your car (a timestamped photograph, an odometer reading and a fuel level, captured at drop-off and matched at return) settled by a resolution fund. There is no such record and no such fund anywhere in Parkena. The address still resolves so that saved links do not break, but there is no protection product here; there is a description of what you are told before you book and what is written down after.
