The promise, in plain terms
The total you agree to is the total you are charged. When you press the button, the database recomputes the price from the operator’s own rate plan and compares it, to the cent, with the number your screen displayed. If the two are not identical no booking is written at all: you are shown the new price and decide again. The amount stored is always the server’s, never one the page sent it.
What is actually built
Four mechanisms, and what each one does
The quote binds the operator
An operator cannot raise their rate between your quote and your booking and have the higher number stick. The comparison is exact in both directions, and a mismatch refuses the booking rather than repricing it.
Sold spaces are counted
A booking is refused if it would take the car park past the capacity the operator declared. That stops accidental overselling — two desks selling the same bay in the same second. It cannot stop an operator who declares a capacity they do not have.
The operator is named
The name the operator trades under, on the listing and on the booking, with the city and country of the car park. An operator can enter a registered company name in their own settings and Parkena does not publish it; signing up never asks for one, and nothing here is checked against a register — so what you get is the name the car park trades under, and the one to talk to if something goes wrong.
Where the promise stops
Three things Parkena does not do

No insurance, and no fund
There is no policy, no insurer and no money set aside for claims. If a car park damages your car or loses your keys, that is between you and the operator under their own terms.

No rebooking desk
Nobody is on a rota to find you another car park at five in the morning. If your space is not there, Parkena cannot conjure one, cover a taxi or pay a difference.

No change form
Parkena can cancel a booking for you at parkena.com/booking, with your reference and the email address you booked with, any time before check-in — cancelling after the free window keeps the total instead of refunding it, but it still goes through. What Parkena cannot do is change one: new dates or a different car park is a fresh booking. Once the stay has started, the operator is who acts — they hold the booking, not Parkena. Contact them with your reference.
The fine print, kept honest
Nothing on this page is a contract, and there is no insurance behind it. Every car park and price on the site comes from an operator Parkena has read and approved. Your card is charged when you book, and the cancellation terms that apply to your booking are the platform’s own, recorded on the booking the moment it is made. The terms of service are linked from the footer of every page.
